Without hesitation, elected leaders across the Assembly of Treaty Chiefs (AOTC) identify the Alberta United Conservative Party (UCP) as the leader of the separatist movement that is stoking division, empowering racism, rewarding hatred, and undermining our stewardship over AOTC lands within Treaties 6, 7, and 8.

The separatist agenda of the Alberta UCP clearly takes inspiration from the current United States Administration and is executed in misplaced admiration. This brazen admiration is a clear indication of the UCP's commitment to the preservation of power.

The party, like its American counterparts, no longer prioritizes the interests of the people.

The AOTC has united against separatism and the destruction of democracy through a vote of non-confidence in the Alberta UCP. We demand that any MLAs who have had the privilege to live, grow, and benefit from the abundance of Treaty 6, 7, and 8 lands join us in our vote of non-confidence.

Our demand for Federal intervention is loud and clear to those who need to hear it, and we remind them of their Treaty obligation to do so.
