Our response to the Opioid Crisis continues to utilize collective impact approaches. We have learned that all services are needed all the time as we work towards wrap-around support models.
Piikani Nation continues to advocate for Government support in our fight against this epidemic. We can confirm government resources continue to favour places seeing less severity.
We have all managed to gain a better understanding of the conditions that these lethal substances bring to our community, homes, and loved ones. In this time of crisis our new reality includes sacrificing parts to save the whole. This is a stark difference from our history, but we will continue to pursue healing and health for all our people.
Acknowledgment has to be given to our front line people in Aakom Kiyii Health Services, Piikani Security Services, and the RCMP. We value the effort, compassion, and innovation in your adaptive response. Your versatility is second to none.
