Statement Regarding Recent Drug Seizure

As many of you know a significant amount of illegal drugs have been seized within the community. Every one of our members has felt the pain caused by these substances and we are grateful for this result.

Your tips and advice have been crucial in these efforts, and we encourage you to keep sharing this important information. Your contributions are vital to ongoing operations addressing major drug sources.

The State of Emergency declared in response to the Drug Crisis on January 5th, 2024 remains in place. Please continue to be vigilant as we navigate this critical time.

Our culture has faced many challenges since colonial contact and we must continue to uphold it through our traditional practices and teachings. These resources have guided us for generations and will continue to do so, offering us hope for a healthier future.

We have all seen the destruction caused by drug use and trade. Please do not be misled by false promises of gain because any profit from this will not benefit us. This is another challenge our people and culture must overcome.

Condolences to the families of those we lost to this epidemic.
