Chief and Council proudly acknowledge the effort by all whose contributions made the 65th Annual Celebration a genuine accomplishment and great time. The countless smiles upon the faces of attendees young to golden affirmed that we as a community fulfilled the true intent of our celebration and have earned the right to be very proud.
From appetizing community breakfasts to highlights of competitive softball, to Indian Relay, Rodeo, and the original Pow Wow: there was something for everyone. Our hospitality extended wide, accommodating many interests, practices, talents, and friendships while nurturing enjoyment through the delivery of an event that was second to none.
The vibrance of Crowlodge Park during this time was undoubtedly accompanied by the spirits of our ancestors and loved ones who have passed. The unison of celebration and remembrance is one that we all experience during such joyful moments, and we are happy to foster an atmosphere for healthy recollection of teachings and times enjoyed with loved ones no longer with us.
Through failed colonization, pandemic, and opioid epidemic the resilience of our people continues strong. Let occasions such as this serve as a reminder in difficult times that there are people in our community that want you to regain the bountiful life of our ancestors and will work their hardest in supporting the potential within all of us.
Again, we are grateful for all the support this great event has received, and we look forward to many more.
